Well, it's really your preference and you can take out the second earrings and just wear 1 pair for a while. The second holes won't grow back together right away. You can always switch it up and put the 2nd pair in every now and then. I haven't used my 2nd piercing holes in years and the holes aren't noticeable but I can still get earrings in them if I wanted to wear them.
