Is simulated aquamarine cubic zirconia, and does it last very long compared to genuine aquamarine?

Simulated aquamarine could be glass or cubic zirconia. If it is cubic zirconia, then it will be as durable as a diamond and last forever without scratching. So, if it's cz, it would be more durable than a genuine aquamarine. Even diamonds and cubic zirconia can be crushed with enough force, however.
